At David’s Kitchen, all platters and afternoon teas are freshly prepared in store for your chosen collection or delivery time. Because these items are made to order and are perishable, different refund terms apply compared with everyday in store purchases.

As our platters and afternoon teas are perishable and made to your specification, the 14 day cooling off period does not apply.
As preparation begins in advance, the following notice periods apply:
More than 48 hours before collection or delivery Full refund
24 to 48 hours before collection or delivery 50 percent refund
Less than 24 hours before collection or delivery No refund
To cancel, please contact the store selected at checkout. Your cancellation is only confirmed once we have acknowledged it.
Refunds are made to your original payment method and are usually processed within 5 to 7 working days.
We take pride in the quality and presentation of our food.
If something is wrong, for example items are missing, incorrect or not of satisfactory quality, please contact the store that prepared your order as soon as possible and ideally within 2 hours of collection or delivery.
We may ask for your order number and photographs where appropriate.
Where a genuine issue is confirmed, we may offer:
Please do not dispose of the food before contacting us, as we may need to inspect it.
If your delivery does not arrive within a reasonable time of the agreed window, please contact the store immediately.
If the issue is our fault, we will offer a replacement or a full refund.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control, such as severe weather or traffic disruption, where reasonable steps have been taken.
If no one is available to receive the delivery and no alternative arrangements have been agreed, we may be unable to leave perishable items safely and a refund may not be possible.
Our kitchens handle a wide range of ingredients including common allergens. While we take care in preparation, we cannot guarantee any product is completely free from traces of allergens.
If you or your guests have an allergy or dietary requirement, you must inform us at the time of ordering. We rely on the information you provide and cannot be responsible for undeclared allergies. This does not affect liability where we have been negligent.
